Ways to Help the Needy
- As years past, our church will continue to participate in two meaningful events that provide some type of relief to the needy. We encourage you to participate in them. One of two is the “Canned Food Drive” which will be donated to CityTeam Ministries in San Jose during the time of Thanksgiving. Please bring any nonperishable food items to the church before November 23, and we will deliver them so that CityTeam Ministries will have enough food to give away.
- The other program is to support Operation Christmas Child sponsored by Samaritan’s Purse. Fill up shoeboxes with useable items (preferably non-edible), and enclose a check for $7.00?? (please check this amount) payable to Samaritan’s Purse, and we will deliver them on November 20, so that the organization may ship them to the needy children in Third-world countries in time for Christmas.
Congratulations
- Congratulations to the proud parents, Ivan and Karen, with the early arrival of Jayden who came almost three weeks ahead of schedule. He weighed in 6lb 1oz, 19 inches. Both mother and child are doing well and resting at home.
- The Pastoral Ordination of Brother Anselm Siao is scheduled on November 26 (Sunday) at 3:30pm. Dinner will follow after worship. RSVP is needed. We look forward to having you celebrating with us. We pray that Brother Anselm may continue to faithfully serve the Lord with his new role in Hong Kong.
